Many people noticeably, do not understand what is required when approaching a Roundabout. For example many do not indicate at all, or indicate incorrectly. When exiting to the left approach cautiously, your speed ideally should be around 20 KPH if obstructions like trees, shrubs or a fence is evident.
If there is another road close to the roundabout, do not indicate till you are level with the road otherwise the other driver may think you turning into his street and proceed to come out in front of you, consequently you may cause an accident.
You need to indicate left approximately 10 meters before the roundabout, and if a car is approaching from the other-side of the roundabout or from on your right, you may only proceed if they have not reached the roundabout, or if they approach fast, wait.
When you are driving straight through the roundabout, indicate left when reaching the centre of the roundabout. If it’s a two lane road stay in the left lane to exit.
When doing a right turn indicate right approximately 10 meters before the roundabout then indicate left on the second exit 90% before you exit the roundabout. If it is a two lane road, you must exit from the right lane only.
When doing a U turn indicate right approximately 10 meters before the roundabout, then indicate left on the third exit 90% before you exit the roundabout. If it is a two lane road, you must exit from the right lane only.
