Students and overseas people migrating to Australia requiring licence conversions think that the licensing centre provides cars for their test. This is NOT the case, the person going for a Practical driving test MUST provide a car to sit the test.
Before the new learners plastic cards replaced the old A4 form all this information was included on the form, occasionally there are still people turning up for the test without a car.
We have had students ask what sort of cars are provided by the department for the practical driving test however because the department doesn't provide a car the instructors car that you have had lessons in and are familiar with will be the car that is used for the test if you are with a driving school.
If you have your own car or borrow another car for example from your parents, make sure the tires are not Bald, all the indicators work, the brake lights, and reverse lights are okay and the car is road worthy.
Anyone who requires a car can always ring a driving school and make an arrangement for the day but do book in advance as instructors have other clients
Good luck with your test.
