The one metre distance clearance from cars and bikes was enforced up to 60 K.P.H.
Over 60 K.P.H. it is extended to one and a half meters.
PUNISHABLE BY LAW IF NOT ADHERED TOO the penalty is $300 and 3 demerit points.
I see many people who are not aware or concerned of the regulation, and in Fremantle many roads do
not allow the required distance, if anybody is in this situation please drive slowly incase someone opens
a car door or starts pulling out without seeing you, better to be safe then sorry even if it’s not your fault.
