Christmas is upon us again, with traffic heavier than usual as people have time off to visit friends and family out in the suburbs and country regions, the police are out in force.
Stick to the speed limits or you will be making a donation to the police force if caught.
The circle around a numbered sign is the speed limit, open signs are recommended speed and if you enter a street without a sign the speed is 50 K.P.H.
Remember if you are a P Plater or Learner 100 K.P.H. is the limit. And NO alcohol is allowed in your system. On average it takes at least 24 hours to pass through your body.
You can also be tested for drugs, and drugs take much longer to pass through he system.
One more thing. I have noted some people still slow down to 40 K.P.H in school zones. This doe’s not apply in school holidays. The speed limit will recommence start of February.
