Blind Spots

At one time or another, as drivers, we will attempt to make a turn, overtake or proceed on a green light only to discover a car approaching that we did not see, this is commonly known as a blind spot. In other words we think it is completely safe to make our turn or change lanes, only to discover at the last second it is not.

Preparing for your Driving Test with the Licensing Center

Sometimes, simple things, such as going to the toilet or providing basic information such as a phone number can be overlooked. Willagee Licensing Centre does not have any public toilets. People requiring service are required to wait for over an hour when the centre is busy, also, students going for their practical test, sometimes at the last minute need to use the toilet, and if you are desperately in need you need to ask permission to be allowed to use the licensing centre toilet. Therefore, it is a good idea to keep this in mind when visiting.

How much should I pay for driving lessons

Over a period of time now I have been getting inquiries about driving lessons. Mostly, the first question asked is how much do you charge? The economy has been tight for some time now, so it’s not surprising. People shop around for cheaper deals, but in most cases that is false economy because it can cost more in the long run.

Merging Traffic (Part 2)

When entering a road that has two lanes one should drive in the left lane, and if a sign ahead states < FORM ONE LANE > we should remain driving in the left lane allowing room for a car to overtake on the right if they want to. As the road ahead narrows to one lane some times a sign warns you this is taking place, however in many places it does not so one must be vigilant at all times.

Merging Traffic (part 1)

Roundabouts

Many people noticeably, do not understand what is required when approaching a Roundabout. For example many do not indicate at all, or indicate incorrectly. When exiting to the left approach cautiously, your speed ideally should be around 20 KPH if obstructions like trees, shrubs or a fence is evident.

What is required for the car test, and is another test required after the mandatory 6 months and the 25 hours Log book lessons

We often get questions asking what is involved in organising and booking the practical driving test

In Western Australia we are lucky in that we only require 25 hours prior to sitting the test, recently introduced ( If you are lucky enough to get one as there is a number of months waiting list ), but do keep trying as there are cancelations and a few editions that disappear very fast.
